UNEXPLAINED

U N E X P L A I N E D

Science has made progress in explaining many of the great mysteries of the past but there are still many more mysteries which still have no scientific explanantion.

What do you think?

Do you believe in paranormal phenomena or do you think there is a rational explanation for everything?

Have you seen the movie Paranormal Activity? The film was a global success and a sequel, Paranormal Activity 2, was released in 2010. A further sequel, Paranormal Activity 3, is now in production and is scheduled to be released later this year.

  3. I havn`t seen that movie and certainly looks scary. Although a friend told me it wasn`t thaaaat much (maybe because he`s seen lots of scary movies so he is quite immune). Responding to the other question, I`m shure everything has an explanation but we may not be ready enough to understand some things and thats why we just see them as supernatural or scary, because we tend to fear the unknown. However, some things do are wierd or is really hard to explain them, for example ufo`s; shure, we arn`t alone in the universe, but many people in this world invent stories about ufo`s, as I saw on TV, I think it was almost everyone who assures he`d seen an alien or a ufo or that has been abducted had mental issues.
Who knows, some day well undertands, meanwhile, just think that our specie is rather young so, there`s a long way ahead of us!

  4. Me neither,I agree it might be scary but no too much, although i still wouldn't like watch it. I really don't understand why people watch them.
I believe that everything has an explanation despite the fact of that we may not know it or what we beleive is not completely right.

  5. I haven't seen the film either, but due to the trailer, it seems to be a quite creepy movie. Also, a friend who is keen on scary movies higly reccomend this movie.
In response to the other question, I didn't like that the review from Unexplained was way too long. Nevertheless, the topics it covers are extremely interesting in my opinion, and I think I will probably buy it for the winter holidays.
I reckon that everything has an explanation, as martin said, but I also believe that there are some things we are just not ready to understand yet.

  6. I believe there's a rational explanation to everything. The thing is that we don't know the explanation to most of the things happening, so sometimes when we cant't find this answer and we end up believing that a paranormal phenomena is the reason because is easier.

I saw "paranormal activity" in last summer holiday and i would say that it's really scary! I couldn't sleep at night after watching it, although i don't believe in ghosts

  7. i had to comment sth over here.

"Do you believe in paranormal phenomena or do you think there is a rational explanation for everything?"

depending on what meaning of "rational" you're talkin about.

things happen, that's the way it works.
you may believe it's because of one reason or because an egyptian god made it happen, and leaving my personal opinion to one side, who cares?
we should be able to cope with the things that happen, instead of imagining all kinda stuff. be objective, and look deeply into the subject.
people are mean and want attention. attention is given when the crowd's interested in sth.
quesiton is, are you interested in what scares the sh~#%! out of you?
    i am.
and it is an absolute truth the fact that humanity will never get all the answers.
there's a reason for everything. things don't come out of nowhere. they happen, but why?
    may we call it supernatural?
one hundred years from now, mankind may discover.... i don't know, the existence of... witches? (i'm just bluffin over here) and at that precise moment, it'll be as clear as water, it'll be something obvious. 100 years back from there (meaning, right now), it was a topic tagged as "supernatural"..

we can't define sth as real or as supernatural, when we don't know about it, when we don't have any proof... you gotta keep it shut.

i don't have proof of the existence of.. UFOs, ghosts, witches, etc..
that's why i'm not skeptical about the topic nor enthusiastic about it. i don't know, i cannot tell.

  8. The book review was trully interesting, it really caught my attention. It makes me want to read it, I hope I can someday, if I get the chance!
Regarding Paranormal Activity, I haven't seen it, but I will buy it and watch it. I never got the chance to see it in the cinema, because most of my friends were to scared, but I love horror films!
I do believe in "the unknown". In my opinion, there has to be a whole other world or reality beyond what we know, but I think it's a thing men and women can't and won't undertsand it in their lives.

  9. I saw the movie last summer. I personally think it wasn´t so scary. Actually, I laughed at some parts of the it.

I don´t believe on ghosts or whatever. But I strongly believe that we aren´t alone in the Universe. Probably, we aren´t certain about the existence of UFO´S because for the moment we
don´t have the technologies to explore it entirely. It´s just too big for the Human kind to understand.
